The 22-year-old Swede powered to eight valuable points as the Armadale men tamed Ipswich Witches 51-39 in the Championship.

The result followed Edinburgh’s 57-33 road win at Redcar Bears on Thursday and also in the points was in-form Ricky Wells with 13 and skipper Erik Riss scored 12.

Nico Covatti was best for the visitors with 13 points and ex-Edinburgh skipper Matthew Wethers was next best with nine points.

Former Monarchs rider Rory Schlein was expected to be a major threat but he failed to score in his first ride.

He collected a win in his second but failed to win any of his next three heats and finished with a disappointing seven points.
