Berwick Bandits sit second in the Championship table going into Saturday’s home test against Sheffield Tigers.

It’s early season but Bandits are delighted to be where they are after two matches.

They have collected six points while Sheffield are tenth in the 11-strong table with one point from their two outings. Tapes go up at 7pm.

Elsewhere, eighth-placed championship newcomers Lakeside entertain Edinburgh Monarchs. Tapes up 7.45pm.

The Scots have four points from their two fixtures while Lakeside have three from their two meetings.

Finally, on Sunday Newcastle Diamonds host Berwick in the second-leg of the Tyne/Tweed Trophy.
