Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen and set alight in Livingston.The incident took place when a black Vauxhall Zafira was taken in Waverley Crescent sometime after 9pm on Sunday 26 November.
The vehicle was discovered alight in Murieston Road West around 7am on Monday 27th November.
A red Roma Miami Mobility Scooter had been stolen from the vehicle and enquiries continue to trace this.
PC Chris Ashley of Livingston Police Station said: “This theft has left the victim without access to a vital means of transport and our enquiries continue to establish who is responsible.
“As part of the ongoing investigation, we’d urge anyone who may have seen the Zafira during the time it was stolen, or who saw anyone in possession of the mobility scooter, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0504 of 27th November, or report this anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
