Sam Masters could have a pivotal role as Wolverhampton Wolves go for Grand Final glory on Wednesday.

Edinburgh Monarchs skipper was unbeaten in his first three rides and finished with 12 points as Wolves edged Swindon Robins 47-42 at The Abbey in the first-leg on Monday.

Former Monarchs star Rory Schlein added 11 at Swindon to put Wolves in the driving seat with the home leg at Monmore.

Aussie-born Schlein warned: “It’s far from over yet though and Wednesday is going to be a massive night at Wolverhampton with all still to play for.”

Meanwhile, the line-up has been confirmed for the SGB Championship Pairs at Sheffield on Sunday (October 8, 3pm).
