Just when we were about to frame up a guide to how to get the best out of New York Tartan Week, where to go what to see, this sad news reached us. One of the major venues during Tartan Week is to close its doors this Thursday.
We were at the St Andrews Bar on 46th Street just the other evening enjoying music by Craig Weir of the band Gleadhraich.
This is also where Howie Nicolsby of 21st Century Kilts sets up shop for the week ahead of the Tartan Day Parade.
