Edinburgh Monarchs report a success off the track as they head towards the opening of the new speedway season.

For the past few seasons the club have offered supporters the opportunity to purchase a team race jacket with their name printed on the back.

They were looking for seven sponsors with each one paying £180 (£150 plus VAT).

For that the purchaser receives their name or their business name at the top of the jacket.

Then, at the end of the season, the sponsor is presented with the race jacket by the rider who has most often worn it during the season.

Now comes news that the 2017 racejacket sponsorships have sold out and co-promoter John Campbell said: “Thank you for your wonderful support.

“Those who have purchased one will be contacted in the coming days.”
