10 December 2016 – Braehead Clan 3, Edinburgh Capitals 2
Edinburgh Capitals were left to rue a nightmare opening five minutes at Braehead Clan.
They were 3-0 down as some latecomers were taking their seats in the 2700-plus crowd.
Scott Pitt opened the scoring after two minutes and the same player doubled the lead just over two minutes later.
Matt Keith completed Clan’s scoring 27 seconds after that but Capitals hit back.
Jacob Johnson opened their account three minutes later and Garrett Milan pulled another one back after 36 minutes.
But the visitors were unable to find an equalising goal as Clan won for a second time in a row after securing a victory at Dundee Stars last Sunday.
Elsewhere, Fife Flyers skidded to a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester Storm and Dundee Stars crashed 4-1 at Coventry Blaze.
