The champions have 13 points from six games are five points adrift in the title race.

But the students go into the game on the back of two big wins over Hillhead in the league and Scottish Cup, an 8-0 victory in Glasgow followed by a 7-0 cup win in the Capital.

And Paisley-born Judge, a member of Edinburgh University’s sporting Hall of Fame, said: “It was good to score lots of goals last weekend and not concede any.

“Sunday’s first-half was our best half out of the four last weekend but I was very disappointed at the second-half.”

The 38-year-old Edinburgh-based schoolteacher, who is a former Glasgow Western player, also travels to Tayside on Sunday to face title-chasing Grove Menzieshill (14.30) in a key clash and added: “This weekend will be tough but the girls have been creating chances and, with the attack that we have, I’m confident that we can win both games.”

Other games tonight (FRI) see bottom club CALA Edinburgh entertain second-placed Grove Menzieshill (19.00) who have an unblemished six-game record while leaders, Milne Craig Clydesdale Western, who are also unbeaten after six fixtures, host Western Wildcats (19.30).
