A police investigation is underway after three people were left with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision between a bus and BMW at Bankton Roundabout, near Prestonpans around 12.30pm this afternoon.
Two men, aged 18 and 23, and 16-year-old girl were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The collision happened around 12.30pm and involved a white BMW and a Lothian bus.
“The three occupants of the BMW, two males aged 18 and 23 and a female aged 16, sustained serious injuries and have been taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but could be life-changing.
“Inquiries are on-going into the full circumstances and anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101.”
