Police Scotland cops

An investigation is underway after a 36-year-old man  was attacked by three people in his own home in Glebe Road, Whitburn  around 8am yesterday morning.

The victim sustained cuts and puncture wounds to his head and neck before being taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are said not to be life-threatening.

The three suspects got into a black Mistubushi Shogan car and drove off.

The first suspect is described as white, male, 5ft 6ins tall with short dark hair and a heavy build.

A second male suspect is described as white, 5ft 4 or 5ins tall, with short dark hair and a skinny build and wearing a black jacket with white Adidas stripes on the shoulders.

The third suspect is described as white, female, 5ft 6ins tall and with shoulder-length black hair.

Detective Inspector Paul Batten said “The victim has been extremely lucky not to have suffered any life-threatening injuries and we are pursuing various lines of inquiry within the local area to trace those responsible.

“I would ask that anyone who saw any suspicious activity around Glebe Road on Saturday morning, or who has any other information that can assist with this investigation, contacts police immediately.”
