Three people have been arrested and charged after police recovered a significant quantity of drugs in Haddington.

Officers from the East Lothian Community Action Team carried out a search of a property in Lanngriggs on Thursday 29th September, and in excess of £4,500 worth of cannabis, cocaine, tablets and cash were seized from the address.

Two men aged 27 and 21 and a 24-year-old woman have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and will appear in court at a later date.

Chief Inspector Matt Paden, Local Area Commander for East Lothian said, “Every day we gather intelligence on those involved in drug crime within East Lothian and regularly carry out activity like this to seize harmful substances before they can make their way into our communities.

“I would continue to urge the public to come forward with information relating to ongoing drug offences in their area so we can investigate thoroughly and respond accordingly.”

Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
