Police are investigating following a housebreaking at an address in Main Street, Ormiston.

The incident happened between Friday, August 12 and Monday, August 15 while the occupiers were on holiday.  A number of items of jewellery and electrical items were taken.

Police are now investigating and are appealing to the public for information.

Inspector Andrew Harborow said:  “The items taken were small and could have easily been concealed and carried away in a bag.

“We are eager to trace those responsible and would appeal for anyone with information to contact us immediately.
