On Wednesday 27 July 2016 Carlos Quilici will appear in one of the series of House Concerts @42
The musician is a regular visitor to the house and Douglas and Jane-Anne say they are looking forward to hosting him again.
Carlos is a master bandoneon player and teacher from Argentina. He tours extensively in Europe and South America, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of tango music.
For those who love to dance, and those who love to just listen this is a South American treat that you should not miss.

At the UK’s leading low carbon innovation centre – the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation – partners with Edinburgh International Fashion Festival to host a discussion with sustainable fashion business leader Claire Bergkamp (Stella McCartney).

The Great Scottish Greyhound Gathering takes place tomorrow Saturday, 23 July 2016, at Musselburgh Racecourse.
Register your pooch for one of the Dog Shows, not just greyhounds, other breeds are very welcome and they have a showring all of their own! Prizes in every class for 1st – 3rd and Rosettes from 1st – 6th place.
Registration starts at 09:00.
There’s a wide variety of stalls, including home baking by the RGT Edinburgh Team, Arts and Crafts, bouncy castle for the kids, face painting, candy floss machine, coconut shy, really varied types of stalls – also a large food van.
Pets at Home will be there with a dog groomer, so you can have your dog spruced up whilst you enjoy the day. ICR Vets will also be in attendance, they will be giving out free advice and vouchers off treatments at their surgeries. RGT Fife, RGT Borders and RGT West Lothian will also be joining in the fun as will the Dogs Trust.
Weather permitting there will be a flypast by the Red Arrows at 12:42 en route for the Air Show at East Fortune.
Classes cost £2 per entry. Entrance to the event is by donation
The Royal Burgess Golfing Society is the oldest golfing society in the world and it has now been refurbished.
The listed club house building has been upgraded and a new bigger pro shop has been added.
The club has 1000 members, and the modernisation will help with hosting functions and corporate events in the club.
The £750,000 renovation scheme was partly funded with a £580,000 funding package from Bank of Scotland.
Luxury Edinburgh venue, Dundas Castle’s resident dogs welcomed VisitScotland’s Ambassadog recently, to help with his tourism training. The golden retrievers, Burn, Beech, and Bark, who have featured on ABC News in the US, were pleased to show the tourism ropes to George as he sets off on his new role as the official canine ambassador representing the spirit of Scotland.
