Police are appealing for witnesses following recent suspicious fires in the West of the city.
Between Wednesday 8th June and Thursday 16th June, two fires were set within common stairs in Saughton Mains Park.
On each occasion the fire service attended and extinguished the flames and no one was injured.
Officers believe these incidents are linked and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable Jeanette McCulloch from Corstorphine Police Station said: “Fortunately, these fires did not result in any injury or significant damage to the properties but had the flames spread or become too difficult for the fire service to handle, we could have been dealing with far more serious offences.
“We would ask anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the Saughton Mains Park area to contact police immediately.
“In addition, anyone with information that can help us identify those responsible should also get in touch.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
