A 38 year-old man who was walking his dog in St Mark’s Park on Friday night was approached, threatened and then robbed of a three figure sum of cash. The incident happened about 7.30pm on Friday 6 May 2016 in the tunnel on a walkway through the park.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 10inches tall, 19-20 years old with acne on his face and a local accent.

He was wearing matching cream joggers and top, and a red baseball cap.

He was in the company of two other men, also described as being 19-20 years old.

Detective Sergeant Keith Fairbairn of Gayfield CID said: “This was very distressing for the victim and we’re utilising various resources in an effort to trace the perpetrator.

“We’re appealing for the publics help and would ask anyone who recognises these descriptions, or saw the men described in the area at this time, to come forward.”
