Police Scotland officers yesterday searched a vehicle in Central Way, Cumbernauld and three properties in the town as well as a vehicle on the M9 motorway on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Following these searches, drugs believed to be Cocaine and Cannabis Resin were recovered with an estimated street value of one hundred and twenty thousand pounds (£120,000).

Three men aged 45yrs, 38yrs and 28yrs have been arrested and were detained in police custody in connection with the recovery.

Detective Inspector Kevin Jamieson from Lanarkshire Division said:“This was a significant recovery of harmful controlled drugs which were destined for communities across Scotland.  Our officers will continue to actively pursue anyone who is suspected of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs, and I would like to thank the public for their ongoing support and assistance in this matter.
