Police investigating the theft of three valuable antique coins from the National Museum of Scotland on 2nd September 2015 have today released images of two males that officers believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

Detective Constable Mark Seymour said: “The stolen coins are of great financial and historical value, and any information which will assist the police inquiry would be greatly appreciated.

“I would encourage the males in the images to come forward to police.

“Similarly if anyone knows the males, or has any information to assist with the police investigation, I would urge them to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, or the charity Crimestoppers in complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.”
