Police are investigating following a robbery in Ettrick Road which occurred around 11.30pm on Sunday when a 38-year-old woman was approached by two male suspects when opening the boot of her car.
The men threatened her before taking her handbag from her shoulder. The suspects subsequently left in a southerly direction towards Spylaw Road.
The victim had a number of items in her handbag, including jewellery and make-up, which is believed to be worth a three-figure-sum.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his mid-twenties. He has a slim build and is around 5ft 10” in height. He was wearing a dark zip up Nike top and dark tracksuit bottoms.
The second suspect is also a white man in mid twenties. He also has a slim build and is around 5ft 10” in height. He was wearing a dark zip up top and dark trousers.
Detective Constable John McShane said: “The was a frightening attack, which left the victim very upset.
“We are appealing for any information regarding this incident. Anyone who was in the area, and saw anything suspicious, is asked to contact us immediately.”
