If you are a car enthusiast then there is only one place for you this weekend and that is The Palace of Holyroodhouse where the Concours of Elegance will be taking place.
- Concours of Elegance is bringing more than a hundred of the world’s rarest cars to Scotland, hosting its 2015 event at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
- Sixty cars make up the main Concours, including a Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spider – one of 10 built. Cars range from 1905 right up to the modern day.
- In addition, a host of Scottish-themed features will also be on show, including the world’s largest ever collection of cars from the legendary Scottish racing team, Ecurie Ecosse.
- Special Sir Jackie Stewart tribute will showcase his three world championship-winning F1 cars – the first time all three have been together in one place.
- Other Scottish racing drivers celebrated include Johnny Dumfries and the Jaguar XJR-9 he drove to victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1988. Two of Jim Clark’s Formula One cars will also be on display
- Dario Franchitti will be showcasing the three cars that came with each of his three victories at the Indianapolis 500. It’s a race tradition that the winner gets to take home the pace car from the event.
- The Club Trophy brings together the most incredible models from the UK’s premier car clubs. All entries are judged by a team of experts, which in the past have included David Gandy and Prince Michael of Kent
- The Concours of Elegance is a charity fundraising event, and has already donated more than £600,000 to charity. This year the Concours is raising funds for Walking with the Wounded, Action on Addiction and Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity, Springfield Motor Racing’s Club for Young People.
- Concours of Elegance has a host of exclusive partners for this year’s event, including Rolex, Johnnie Walker, Hamilton and Inches, Pol Roger and RM Sotheby’s
