Police are appealing for information to help trace 20-year-old Alana Major who was reported missing on Friday 14th August having been last seen on Shandwick Place at around 11pm on Thursday 13th August.
It is believed she was subsequently in the area of Waverley Station at around 11.30am on Tuesday 18th August. However, she has yet to get in touch with her family since this time.
Alana is described as white, with a slim build, and is approximately 5ft 4inches tall. She has straight purple shoulder-length hair with a pink streak through the fringe, and her hair may be styled in a bun.
She was last seen wearing a white top, a black jacket with black fur around the hood, black leggings, and white and grey ‘British Knights’ Hi Top trainers.
Sergeant Quentin Russell of the West End said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for Alana’s welfare and are urging anyone who thinks they may have seen her since Thursday 13th August, or has information about her movements during this time, to come forward.
“Alana turned 20 on Sunday and did not attend planned family celebrations, which is out of character for her. If Alana hears this appeal I would urge her to get in contact with us or her family and let us know that she is safe and well.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101
