After reports of a suspicious incident involving a series of loud bangs in Newbridge on Sunday morning, a spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Searches are ongoing at Riverside in Newbridge following the recovery of a number of items following reports of loud bangs in the area yesterday morning (Sun).
“Cordons remain in place whilst officers and partners continue to thoroughly search the area. All the items found are believed to be bangers, and there does not appear to be any immediate risk to the safety of the community.”
