The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a deaf cat with a deformed leg was abandoned in Edinburgh. Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted after the cat was discovered in a pet carrier at Whitson Crescent before being handed into the PDSA based at Hutchison Crossway.
The cat is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton, where she has been named Sansa.
Senior Inspector Stuart Murray said, “Poor Sansa has a deformed right hind leg and appears to be deaf.
“She is a distinctive cat so we are asking anyone who recognises her and knows who may have owned her to contact us.
“We’ll look after Sansa until we can find her a loving new home.”
Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999.
