Police in Edinburgh are appealing for witnesses after the body of a 59-year-old man was found in a house in Primrose Street on Sunday evening.
Officers are now treating the incident as murder and are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area, and may have seen anything unusual or suspicious between Thursday 16 April and Sunday. Primrose Street is just off Lochend Road.
The man has been named as Alexander Duncan who lived at the address with his partner.
Detective Inspector Martin MacLean said: “ I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the Primrose Street area from Thursday 16th April onwards or who knew Alexander Duncan.
“Anyone with information that can help us trace the person responsible is asked to contact us on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
