A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a handbag snatch, which happened over the weekend.
The 61-year-old female victim was robbed of her bag during the incident, which happened in Sleigh Drive at around 11am on Sunday 5th April.
She had previously visited the ATM on Restalrig Road South before attending at a number of the local shops.
The male was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
Officers are still keen to trace members of the public who witnessed the offence take place and anyone who was in the area at the time is asked to come forward.
Detective Inspector Alan O’Brien said: “While we currently have someone in custody for this incident we are still trying to trace anyone who can provide us with information in relation to this enquiry.
“Anyone who can assist us with this investigation is asked to come forward.!
