Police are appealing for information to help trace a 27-year-old man reported missing from the Gilmerton area.
Shaun Stoddart, who has cerebral palsy, was last seen around 10pm yesterday at a bus stop in Shandwick Place. However, he has not made contact with family or friends since.
Shaun resides in the Gilmerton area but has links to the Whitson area and typically travels there by bus.
Shaun is white, 5ft 7inches tall, with a slim build and short thick brown hair. He is missing several front teeth and walks with a limp.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, a dark-coloured woolly hat and was carrying a black and white rucksack. He was also wearing red or purple headphones.
Inspector Jonny Elliot said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Shaun’s welfare and ask anyone who thinks they may have seen him, or who knows where he is, to contact us immediately.”
“Likewise, if Shaun hears this appeal, I would urge him to get in touch and let us know that he is safe and well.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland as soon as possible on 101.
