News has emerged that there is a fresh bid to have Margaret Sinclair canonised. The Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh is behind the move to recognise the nun who was born in the Cowgate in 1900.

The Scottish Catholic Observer has the full story here.

Edinburgh’s Christmas will give away 450 free tickets today if you fall into a certain category……all you have to do is wear a kilt! The tickets will be for any of the rides except Santa’s Grotto and you have to go along between 10am and 5pm. Star Flyer and kilt appear to mean chilly to us!

At Corstorphine Library they are already looking forward to new sessions of Bookbug in January.

wdh14flyerThis Hogmanay there is a party going on down on Calton Road.

You are promised that it will be “a MASSIVE NYE SOUNDSYSTEM SESSION in the generously proportioned Studio 24, down on Calton Road in Edinburgh’s Old Town, scene of some recent great Wee Dub nights.”

The Wee Dub Festival takes place in the spring but they are running a special event this Hogmanay. It will be an indoor event so much warmer than all the street parties!

Listen up to this track to see if it will tantalise you into buying a ticket!
