Around 1000 students from Edinburgh Napier University graduated at the Usher Hall this week.
Joining the graduates on stage was Transport for Edinburgh CEO Ian Craig, who received an Honorary Doctorate of the University.
Meanwhile, photographer and former Edinburgh Napier lecturer Robin Gillanders was also recognised with an Honorary Fellowship.
Ian, who graduated from Napier in 1989 with an HND in Accounting before making his way in the transport industry, was awarded his honorary degree at Thursday’s morning ceremony.
He became CEO of Transport for Edinburgh last year, which combined Lothian Buses with Edinburgh Trams to provide integrated transport across the capital.
Robin, one of Scotland’s most distinguished photographers, was recognised in Thursday’s afternoon ceremony. He taught at Edinburgh Napier for thirty years, mentoring acclaimed photographers such as David Eustace, and has exhibited across the United Kingdom and internationally.
