A 24 year old man has gone on trial accused of attempting to murder a woman by deliberately hitting her with a car in Murrayburn Road, Edinburgh, on April 13 last year.
Jamie Lee Carson, 24, is said to have knocked over Robyn Devlin and also faces charges of drink-driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
The charges were read to the jury at the start of his trial at the High Court in Edinburgh today.
Carson denies all charges and the trial against him continues
