Police are appealing for information after a man was discovered with serious facial injuries in a city centre street last Monday morning.
Enquiries are ongoing after the 40-year-old was found nursing injuries in Picardy Place, which is situated at the top of Leith Walk, at around 4.10am on 9th June.
Detective Constable Sara Hamilton said: “The man appears to have been the victim of a vicious attack and we are working hard to ascertain the full circumstances of what happened.
“We are asking for public assistance with this matter, and anyone who saw anything suspicious in and around Picardy Place in the early hours of Monday morning is urged to get in touch.”
