Police Scotland is advising motorists of major traffic disruption on the Edinburgh City Bypass after a lorry shed its load.
The incident happened around 2.20pm today (Monday) on the westbound carriageway between the Dreghorn and Baberton Junctions.
A Scania tipper lorry’s trailer came loose and scattered a large quantity of paper and polystyrene over the road.
No one was injured, however, the westbound carriageway is completed closed and is likely to remain so for some time.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes while the debris is cleared and the truck is recovered.
Further road updates will be released in due course.
