The Edinburgh Reporter was at York Place waiting for the first tram from the Gyle to arrive in the city centre. A muffled cheer was heard as the tram reached its destination. It was full to the brim of intrepid first journey makers and the windows were a bit steamed up!
Subsequent trams were not so full and it was very pleasant to step aboard at York Place and take a trip up to Princes Street where we got some more shots of the tram on a very beautiful Edinburgh morning.
