Police have appealed for witnesses to a collision between two vehicles on Redford Road earlier today (Wednesday, June 12).
The incident occurred around 8.30am and involved a minibus colliding with an unoccupied stationary van. Redford Road was closed in both directions at Dreghorn Link for around an hour following the collision.
The minibus was carrying five children between 9-13 years of age and two adults. The children, from Kaimes School, were taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Kids as a precaution and the adults were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh as a precaution.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “This collision, although not serious, would have caused distress to the young people involved. We would appeal to anyone who might have witnessed the collision to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
