Yulia

The family of missing woman Yulia Solodyankina have appealed for her to make contact, as officers continue with their enquiries to trace her.

Yulia was last seen at Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow around 4.55pm on Friday 7th June.

She is due to graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in physics on Monday 1st July.

Anyone who believes they have seen the student since this time, or who has information that can assist police with their investigation is asked to come forward immediately.

Speaking directly to her daughter, Yulia’s mother Ekaterina has issued a plea via Police Scotland for the 22-year-old to get in touch.

“Yulechka, do you remember, I told you that I love you whatever you do, whatever happens to you?  Do you remember I told you a story about the heart that runs somewhere else apart from me? Come back, if you hear us. We love you very much.

“There are no hopeless situations in life. Everything can be overcome. We love you. You are our life. Your mom and dad.”

Yulia is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall with a small mole on her left cheek. She speaks fluent English with a strong Russian accent and was last seen wearing a dark coat with belt, dark shoulder bag, a red and orange coloured scarf, grey trousers, and brown shows with white laces.

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or the charity Missing People, where information can be passed by calling, emailing, or sending a text to 116 000.  The service is free, 24 hour, and confidential.
