Edinburgh Falcons cycle speedway team have qualified for Division Two play-offs after topping the Scottish section of the North & Scotland Division Two with a couple of matches to go.

This follows a last heat decider success against Fife Revolutions to win 51-48 with Sam Stansfield and Jack Brownell the heroes while Glasgow Cyclones were overcome 53-45 in the west of Scotland after more last heat drama.

That made it four straight victories for the Falcons who now face the winners of Northern Division Two for a place in Division One.

Top scorers for the Falcons over the two matches were Neil McPherson 28 plus 2 bonus points and new signing Jack Brownell 27 plus 2 bonus points .

Falcon’s youngsters also took to the track recently to register a comfortable 30 -19 victory over Fife revolutions
