The Lasswade 10k road race is set to return after a four year absence on Sunday 3 March this time with sponsorship from VMH Solicitors.

First run in 1982 and organised by club founder, David Hand, the race fell into abeyance due to Covid-19.
Over the years the route has changed occasionally due to house building in the area but the record is officially recognised as being held by Derek Hawkins (2015) in 51mins 08 secs.
For this 40th instalment Linda Smith, who coaches at the club and works for VMH Solicitors, has joined a sub group to ensure the event runs smoothly through mostly Midlothian countryside especially as many competitors will be preparing to run a Spring marathon.
