A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 38-year-old man in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called just before midnight on Hogmanay 2023 after shots were fired in West Granton Road.

Two men, aged 38 and 39, were taken to hospital. The 38-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later and the other remains in hospital.

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

She is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 10 January, 2024.

Previously a 32-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Grant Hunter, 32, and Emma McVie, 25, appeared in private at a petition hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 8 January, 2024 facing charges of murder and assault to severe injury, range to life and attempted murder. Both made no plea and were remanded in custody to return to court within eight days.

Outside the Anchor Inn Granton where the shootings took place
