The Brunton in Musselburgh has been closed temporarily, and the Theatre Trust have reached out to venues in Musselburgh, East Lothian and beyond to source alternative spaces for their packed programme of community and professional events.

The Trust has been heartened by the response from other venues offering support and space.

Michael Stitt, Chair of The Brunton Theatre Trust said “We’ve been deeply touched by the generosity and kindness shown by the people of East Lothian and the Scottish theatre community while we work hard to reschedule some ninety performances and events between now and June.

“Our performers and other venues have been incredibly accommodating at very short notice and we have had a positive response to the shows that have gone ahead so far.

“We’d like to thank our audiences, bookers and entertainers for their patience, support and good humour and would like to reassure them that the team at The Brunton is doing everything in its power to make sure that the show will go on.”
