Armadale Devils have been re-branded and Edinburgh Monarchs Academy will now represent the club in the National Development League with the aim of linking the club’s development programme and Monarchs top side who ride in the SGB Championship.

John Campbell, Monarchs co-promoter, said: “By retiring the Armadale Devils moniker, young riders can now focus on their development in the sport with the Monarchs. We hope they will dream of reaching the Monarchs Academy team and then graduating into a fully-fledged Monarch thereafter.”

Armadale Devils team manager Alan Budzynski has stepped down and Campbell said there will be a new-look line-up on track.

Campbell (pictured right with Alex Harkess by Nigel Duncan) said: “Announcements about our plans for the 2023 season will follow but we are thrilled to bring the Monarchs Academy team to track and are sure to offer something that will excite all Monarchs supporters.”
