The Edinburgh Solicitors Property Centre (ESPC) reminds us that house moves, and all related activities such as viewings and valuations, are permitted by the new government guidance which changed on Friday.
But this does not mean that it has to be done in every case. The Scottish Government has said that, taking into account the new strain of the virus, people may wish to delay a viewing or house move if possible.
Property viewings can be conducted online in most cases and it is best advice that you only do so when seriously interested in a property.
Paul Hilton, CEO of ESPC, said: “Public health and safety is of the utmost importance at this time. I would advise those that are interested in buying or selling a property in the near future to speak to a solicitor for the latest information on the local market and COVID-19 guidance.”
