Police are appealing for witnesses following the high-value theft of metal in Livingston which took place between 5pm on Monday 20th and 9am on Tuesday 21st August at the Dael Telecoms premises within the Brucefield Industrial Estate.
During this time entry was forced to the site and various items including I beams, tower bracing bars, full tower bolt kits, anti-climb equipment and latch-way systems were stolen.
The total value of the stolen metal is around £300,000.
Officers have been pursuing various lines of inquiry since the matter was reported and are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable Greig Muir from Livingston CID said: “We believe whoever was responsible for this theft will look to sell the metal on for scrap and as such would require either one large vehicle, or a number of vehicles.
“As such, anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the Brucefield Industrial Estate on the evening of 20th August, or morning of the 21st August, should contact police immediately.
“In addition, if you have any information that can help us identify and trace those responsible then please also get in touch.”
Those with information can contact Livingston CID via 101 and quote incident number 846 of the 21st August. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
