Tai Woffinden and Jason Doyle are heading for Glasgow to race in one of the biggest meetings ever held in Scotland.
Grand Prix series leader Woffinden, a two-time world champion, and Doyle, the reigning world champion, will lead Great Britain and Australia into a Test match at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium at 3pm on Saturday August 4.
The 27-year-old, who’s 20 points clear in his bid to win a third world title, said: “It will be awesome to race for my country at home again and to go to a part of Britain I haven’t been to in so long.
“I raced at Glasgow a long, long time ago in my Premier League days, but I haven’t been since they made all the changes and improvements to the track so I’m excited to go and check it out.
“I’ve heard a lot about how good the place is now and what a good job the owners have done so it’ll be cool to head up there and see it all for myself.
The timing of the meeting has been designed to work around the busy schedules of the Grand Prix riders and full team line-ups will be announced later.
Tigers season tickets and promotional deals are not valid for this event and the Glasgow Tigers v Newcastle Diamonds fixture that was scheduled for Friday August 3 has been postponed.
