The school has many notable names among its alumni, including Ronnie Browne of the Corries who came back for the school’s Open Day in March 2018 when an estimated 3,000 people visited to see the new building.
Former pupil Dr Richard Henderson who left school in 1962 is a joint recipient of the 2018 Nobel prize for Chemistry. He also paid the school a visit recently.
