The Royal Highland Show begins tomorrow and you are urged to glide past the traffic by taking the tram to the Royal Highland Show.

Scotland’s largest celebration of farming, food and rural life is always very popular and with some great weather forecast, Edinburgh Trams is gearing up for what promises to be one of the city’s busiest weekends.

As well as beating the traffic and avoiding the worry of finding a parking space, by taking the tram show visitors can take advantage of some great ticket deals.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, explained: “With return tickets only £3 for adults and £1.50 for children when purchased on the show’s website, trams offer an inexpensive way to access the showground and avoid roads that will be exceptionally busy around the venue.

“They also provide unrivalled convenience, with services every three minutes between Edinburgh Airport and the City Centre for the duration of the show.”

The Ingliston Park & Ride tram stop is just a short 10-15 minute walk to the south entrance of the Royal Highland Centre (RHC), which is clearly signposted to help visitors find the best way to the heart of the action. Additional tram staff will also be on hand to point them in the right direction and provide up-to-date travel advice.

For anyone travelling to the show from outside the city, the tram connects with the wider rail network thanks to stops at St Andrew Square (for Waverley), Haymarket, Edinburgh Park Station and Edinburgh Gateway.

To take advantage of the discounted travel offer, which allows customers to buy a ‘tram travel’ add-on when purchasing tickets for the show, visit www.royalhighlandshow.org.
