Callum Boyd is the first player to be confirmed by new Scottish National League side Murrayfield Racers.

The Ayr-based forward plans to move to the East to play for the team being formed by Murrayfield legend, Tony Hand.
The 24-year-old, Irvine-born player started his career with youth team Kilmarnock Storm.

And the 5ft 10in player iced for Edinburgh Capitals in 28 games last season, scoring two goals and providing five assists.

He also made 48 appearances for Braehead Clan in the previous season.

Hand said: “Callum has Elite League experience and we believe he will be a tremendous asset to the club as we start our campaign in the Scottish National League and the National Ice Hockey League (North) Cup.”
