Our tram service was at one point the only public transport still running over the last few days, and kept running all night.
Free trams were offered between midnight and 5am at the height of the storm named the Beast from the East.
More than 30,000 journeys were recorded on the trams over the last three days as Edinburgh Trams staff kept the tracks clear.
This hard work allowed the tram to run for 43 hours continuously.

Lea Harrison, Managing Director at Edinburgh Trams said:
“We are delighted that our efforts were able to keep so many people moving around the city.
“Our teams have worked day and night and have shown what a real ‘can-do’ attitude can achieve, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
“We are grateful for the hundreds of customers that have got in touch to thank us for our efforts.”
Edinburgh Trams resumed normal timetables today with services run from every 7 minutes over the weekend.
