Fife Flyers, Scotland’s last hopes, will square-up to Manchester Storm over the two leg Elite League play-off quarter-final.
The Fifers, who slipped from third to finish a disappointing seventh in the table after losing their last three games, have their work cut out to make the final four.
Todd Dutiaume’s men earned 68 points from 56 games while Storm, coached by former Braehead Clan playcaller, Ryan Finnerty, finished second with 75 points from their 56 regular season games.
Fife lost 3-1 at home to Storm on their first visit but edged the men from the Storm Shelter 4-3 in their second.
Manchester won 3-2 when Fife made their first trip south in October and it finished the same way on the second earlier this month.
Confirmation is still awaited on the dates for the games but Saturday, March 31 (face-off 7.15pm) is pencilled in for the home leg.
