Kevin Milne has resigned from the post of Hibernian Ladies’ First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Milne has managed the team since October last year after he took over from Chris Roberts who joined Willie Kirk at Bristol City.

His resignation follows Hibs victory over Rangers for the second time in two weeks in the SWPL Cup quarter final at Ainslie Park on Sunday where a signature Lucy Graham header in the 58th minute was enough to see Hibs through to the next round.

Commenting on the resignation Gary Hocknull, the Foundation’s Football Development Manager said: “This is entirely Kevin’s decision and we are disappointed it is coming at this time in the season when we have a number of big games coming up.

“However, we wish him well and will begin the recruitment process for a new manager immediately. We remain ambitious and remain confident of a successful season.”
