Todd Dutiaume brings Fife Flyers to Edinburgh on Sunday looking to complete a four-point weekend

Elite League: Belfast Giants 4, Braehead Clan 2; Fife Flyers 5, Guildford Flames 3.

Fife Flyers come to Murrayfield to face Edinburgh Capitals on Hogmanay (face-off 4pm) after claiming their second win over Guildford Flames in just over a week thanks to a 5-3 success.

It was built on a solid first period in which Danick Gauthier, Chase Schaber and Charlie Mosey found the net.

Liam Stewart pulled one back for Flames after 31 minutes before Flyers hit two unassisted from Carlo Finucci after 33 minutes and Ian Young five minutes later.

Ian Watters claimed a double in the final session to reduce the deficit.

Braehead Clan entertain Dundee Stars on the last day of the year (face-off 3pm) after letting slip a 2-1 lead to go down 4-2 at Belfast Giants.

The Northern Irish side left it late with the game-winner coming less than four minutes from time.

The scoreline earned revenge for Giants who lost 3-2 in Glasgow on Boxing Day.

Jacob Doty opened the scoring after 26 minutes for the Scots but Blair Riley levelled just over two minutes later.

Tyler Shattock made it 2-1 for Clan eight minutes after that but Giants powered to victory with three unanswered, third-period goals.

Spiro Goulakos started the rush after 46 minutes to level and Steve Saviano scored the go-ahead goal with less than four minutes left.

And Matt Towe netted unassisted 12 seconds from time on an empty net after Clan gambled by taking off their netminder to have six skaters.
