Lucky children will have another chance to become a matchday mascot at every Hibernian home match this season, courtesy of the Lewis Stevenson Testimonial Fund.
Hibernian left back Stevenson capped off his testimonial year during the summer with a friendly match against Sunderland, with Leith Links, CRY and the Bradley Lowery Foundation benefiting from the funds raised.
Leith Links raises money to distribute tickets to local charities, allowing children the opportunity to attend matches and become supporters of the club. Now a child connected with the beneficiary charities will be selected before each home game to walk out with the team at Easter Road.
Two Hibs Kids will be selected as mascots for each match as normal, and packages are also available to purchase.
Lewis said: “Leith Links is a fantastic charity that does a power of work to give children the opportunity to come to matches.
“I am delighted that kids will now have the chance to walk out with the side – it’ll be a once in a lifetime opportunity for them and hopefully bring them closer to the club.
“A big thank you should go to the supporters who came to both the testimonial match and dinner – their generosity has allowed this to happen.”
