Gordon Strachan has announced his squad for Scotland’s forthcoming matches against Canada and Slovenia.

Hibs’ star John McGinn is included which could mean that he would miss the game against Falkirk on Saturday 25th.

Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser and Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney have been handed their first senior call-ups.

There are also places for striker Jordan Rhodes, currently on loan to Sheffield Wednesday from Middlesbrough, and Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong, who netted in Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Rangers yesterday.

Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor, on loan at Cardiff City, has returned to the group after impressing at his loan club, and West Bromwich Albion midfielder Matt Phillips has also been recalled.

Scotland take on Canada in an International Challenge Match on Wednesday, 22 March at Easter Road Stadium before facing Slovenia four days later in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park.
